WORLD MALARIA DAY (25/4/24)

THEME FOR THE YEAR

Advancing Health equity, Gender and Human right.

What this means is, in the fight against malaria every one should be taken care of, both the young, old, rich, poor, male or female.

WHAT CAN WE DO 🤷

We may not completely eradicate malaria but we can reduce the incidence;

Female anopheles mosquitoes are the main cause of malaria.

If we can reduce the mosquitoes, we can also reduce Malaria.

DO THIS 👇

✍️ Sleep under insecticide treated net.

✍️Clear bushes around your homes.

✍️ Drain and clean the gutters

✍️Spray insecticide in the houses before you sleep.

✍️ Compulsory Malaria prophylaxis for our pregnant mothers.

✍️ Government can provide some antimalarial medication for the populace.

✍️The Environmental agencies should ensure the environment are clean to prevent breeding sites for mosquitoes.

All hand must be on deck in this fight against malaria.

If l do my bit

You do your bit

They do their bit

The incidence of malaria will be reduced to the barest minimum.

  1. What I hate about mosquitoes especially the anopheles is not only the malaria that they cause, is about their calls and their ringing tones
