NATIONAL SAFE MOTHERHOOD DAY (NSMD)11th April

ARE THEY SAFE🤔



The safety of the mother during pregnancy and delivery usually determines the safety of the child.


National Safe mother Day is celebrated on 11th April every year to create awareness on health care and wellbeing of pregnant 🤰 and breastfeeding mothers.


It also focuses on preventing of child marriage which is an indirect cause of maternal death.


-Early antenatal registration.

- Antenatal visit

- prompt reporting of wny discomfort in pregnancy.

- Delivery in good hospital, among others are ways to ensure safe motherhood.


As we celebrate National Safe motherhood today let's ensure our mothers are safe.


If the mother is safe!

The child will be safe!
